Splendour is a puppeteer, a little crazy at times and in general somewhat shy. She's a hopeless romantic who adores performance art and literature. She's in love with superhero Charade but as a regular citizen it's hard to stand out and catch his attention. In the original comic (printed at OpenMinded doujinshi) Splendour tried to win him over through a heist on the theatre. The webcomic starts when she's still in jail.
Charade
Charade is a rather mysterious hero. He uses a cane as a weapon and wears a mask. Not much is known about him except that he's punctual, protective and always busy being heroic.
Manny
Splendour's alter ego and in most ways the opposite of her. A sarcastic puppet with a dislike of Charade, sweet things, story book romances and animals. Manny was Splendour's first puppet and an essential outlet for her feelings.
Clockwise
Charade's nemesis, antique salesman by day, villain by night. His speciality is inventing strange weapons and constructing even odder plans with them, often involving time lapses of some kind. Though Clockwise appears to be a quality villain who has been in business a long time, he hardly ever invents devices that work.
